This page will provide you with information and resources needed to take the next steps.
Step 1 - Preparing to Apply to WTU
1. What would you like to study?
☐ Bachelor of Science in Information Security
☐ Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Management
Both of these courses are 18 month degree-completion programs.
2. When would you like to start?
☐ Summer 2019 - Starts July 8
☐ Fall 2019 - Starts September 30
☐ Winter 2020 - Starts January 6
3. Do you qualify?
Credits: To join the degree completion programs, you must already have 90 quarter credits (60 semester credits) from a post-secondary institution.
Read information on the Transfer Credit Evaluation page. If you think you might qualify, send your unofficial transcripts along with the name of the program in which you are interested to the registrar: . email@example.com
Note: If you are an international student, you will need to provide the transcript in English. In certain circumstances, you may be asked to provide course outcomes for one or more of the courses you have taken.
4. How proficient are you in English language?
All courses at Washington Technology University are taught in English. To show that you are proficient in English we ask that you submit proof of one of the following:
☐ You graduated from a high school in an English-speaking country in which the language of instruction was English.
☐ You completed at least 45 quarter degree credits (30 semester degree credits) - and maintained a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher - at an accredited or WTU-recognized institution where the language of instruction was English.
☐ You completed an undergraduate or graduate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was English.
☐ You scored at least 65 on the Internet-based TOEFL test, or an equivalent within the last 24 months.
Step 2 - Apply to WTU
1. Complete the . Online Easy Application Form
2. Speak with your WTU admissions representative.
Once we receive your application, we will connect with you by email and/or phone.
Your admissions specialist will co-ordinate the additional steps with you.
3. Send us unofficial transcripts (if you haven't already).
We will use these to create and send you a Personal Learning Plan.
4. Confirm acceptance of your Personal Learning Plan.
The plan will summarize the program you will enter, credits to be transferred, and tuition arrangements.
Step 3 - Transferring to WTU
1. Send us your official transcripts.
We will validate your credits and send you an official acceptance letter.
2. Review acceptance notification from WTU, and confirm acceptance.
3. Read the information we send about preparing for classes.
We will send information about orientation, advising, your WTU email, access to online learning applications, and the initial courses into which you will be automatically registered.
4. Be ready on the first day of class.
Check your email frequently before classes start, we may send you important messages.
